Practical techniques, creative approaches, and fresh ways to think about the films we create. The depth of knowledge and passion for this growing craft left me incredibly energized and full of ideas that I was eager to bring into the upcoming wedding season.
What stood out most was the sheer inspiration I felt throughout the event. Hearing the voices of those I look up to—each with their own innovative and awe-inspiring perspective—reminded me why this work matters and how much potential there is to evolve in this industry. Equally so from all the fellow attendees and their mind-blowing portfolios (I cannot imagine how much ingenuity was packed into the beautiful theatre).
The friends I made were just as impactful. Having spoken with a number of attendees online prior to the event, it was ecstatic to finally meet everyone in person. Spending time with others who share the same passion for capturing weddings in their own unique and meaningful ways left me with friendships I know will last far beyond this event. I really believe there is a kind of camaraderie that forms when you’re surrounded by people who not only understand the challenges but also celebrate the joys of this work.
And of course, Athens provided a stunning setting for it all. The city’s blend of rich history and modern energy felt like the perfect reflection of what we do as wedding filmmakers—honouring tradition while infusing it with something modern and personal.
This conference was more than just an event to me–it was a turning point for growth. It reminded me of the creative possibilities ahead and of the incredible community we’re part of. The only major critique I have is that it was only 3 days; I so wish we all could have stayed longer!

The speakers were very diverse in their styles and approaches so it was easy to find something new and inspiring. The topics they covered ranged from storytelling, marketing or sound, just to mention a few, which gave a wide understanding of the different elements that take place in a film and in the profession.
I feel that Filmmaker Global is a great way to learn and grow together regardless of the stage you are at in your career. It is a fun way to recharge batteries and start the wedding season with the desire to experiment, grow and put the knowledge into practice.

25 hours, Emotions of a whole Life
I booked my flight on December to get to Athens for the Filmmakers Global Festival! I thought it would be a good start for my filmmaking thirst! I was thinking about learning techniques, gear staff and listen from these famous artists some tips and tricks. That was the thought!
Now I am writing this text in the airport waiting for my return flight! And somehow I feel so overwhelmed with so many emotions.
Three days, 25 to 30 hours, and I could not imagine how this time was enough to change my perspective! My point of view! How this time was even enough to make me feel in a way I never thought that existed! And all this through the beauty of simplicity!
